The Pre-School

The importance of Pre School learning can hardly be overstated. The capacity for acquiring knowledge and skills at this age is astonishing and has rightly been labelled the ‘Golden Age of Learning’. Moreover, the extent to which the intellect is exercised at this stage of brain development can have a decisive effect on the child’s intellectual capacity in later life. The right kind of Pre School education can make a huge difference, not only to academic success but also to the development of all the facets of his or her personality.

The atmosphere and structure of the day are carefully tailored so that a great deal of learning is achieved in a caring and happy environment where the importance of play is recognised and forms a key element of the educational approach.

The result, borne out by international experience, is that children, with the benefit of our Early Learning Programme, move on to more formal schooling with great self confidence and an eagerness to learn. Having begun to read and write they also have a breadth of competence that makes their transition to ‘big school’ a joy for all concerned.
