A Catholic Ethos
The ethos of Hill House is rooted in the teaching of the Catholic Church. In addition, the work of St Josemaría Escrivá, the founder of Opus Dei, has also been a major inspiration. He encouraged parents to respond to the challenges of their vocation as the primary educators of their children.
Our programme of Character Development is based on both human and Christian virtues and is designed with the Early Years in mind. |
Inspired by the teachings of St Josemaria Escriva, founder of Opus Dei, Hill House promotes activities that reflect a Christian outlook on life and culture. These activities are open to people of all creeds and backgrounds.
At Hill House we emphasise and support the primary role that parents play in their children’s spiritual, as well as academic and sporting development. Through both our Character Development programme and the day to day life of the Pre School we reinforce and encourage the children to live by the Christian values which are a key aspect of the rich cultural inheritance in Ireland. We encourage them through practical support to excel in how they live as well as what they know and can do.
A Catholic priest of the Opus Dei Prelature is available to support parents in handing on their faith to their children and provides the opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation for Hill House families.
